Revisiting books you’ve read before is definitely a toss of the dice. When I was younger, I used to re-read books all the time, and my 11 year old also does it. But now I am always a little apprehensive.

Gizmodo and io9 barely cover scifi.

I liked The City and the City, but I mainly liked the principal conceit. His characters are forgettable and he doesn’t have a talent for plot. I tried to slog through Perdido Street Station, and while I liked some of the world-building, I felt that CM needs to know that he needs an editor.
