How boring are people’s lives that they put so much energy into hating a university for having a consistently successful basketball program and a well-earned scholastic reputation?

Not saying it didn’t happen that way, but the linked article offers no indication that Sean Penn pressured her into meeting with El Chapo.

Matt Damon?

I don’t get the joke either, but 2 for 1 is a thing in basketball leagues that have a shot clock. If the shot clock is 24 seconds, and there are 40 seconds on the game clock, instead of draining the shot clock, you get a shot up early, so theres more than a shot clock’s worth of game clock left. The strategy is that

Sometimes university names refer to teams and sometimes they refer to places

Wanted to say this; you took the words out of my mouth

TIL a movie has to be good all the through or there’s no point in watching. Given this, why are any of us *ever* watching *any* superhero movies? They’re all filled with terrible, formulaic bombast at one point or another

Even though it’s a different actor?

“You were my friend until you became a fascist billionaire psycho for no apparent reason”

Exactly. It’s like “ok, let’s all register as super humans or whatever and promise the governments we’ll only use our powers when they want us to, until the world is at risk by some alien or domestic evil Mastermind intent on world domination/destruction and obviously then we have to use our powers whether or not the

That’s what earns avengers a lowest tier rank for me, because the concept of “So many super heroes!!!1!” is a ridiculous cop out to avoid taking risks by trying to present original, interesting narratives and instead pander for mass profit.

Yes.

Doesnt the “but” imply something is missing?

While we’re at it, maybe we can resist the urge to use misogynist rhetoric like “pussy” and “castration” in reference to violence against women.

Is this your first time hearing this idea? The removal of conference alignment in the postseason has been debated around the NBA media for the last couple seasons, due in part because of the relative low quality of some of the lower eastern conference seeds and in part to, according to some, boring early playoff

“...engage in keyboard-based fuckery as if it means a goddamned thing (and, when it comes to *most kinja users*, it doesn’t).

Luke warmest take of March?

They didn’t move him because they wanted a first round pick and could only get offers for a second rounder. I think they should have taken what they can get, but knowing them they probably think they have a chance of re-signing him (which they don’t).

The bigger question is why didn’t they trade Evans - Evans probably had the greatest market value he’ll have for the rest of his career at this trade deadline - if they want to compete next year, they need gasol, who is on contract for the next couple seasons, but they have zero chances of re-signing Evans as a UFA

I loved it as a child but didn’t realize/appreciate it as an homage to 40s serials, because I was a child.
