Killing off Filmstruck is another bit of depressing news in a depressing week of news. I for the first time watched Singing in the Rain a couple of weeks ago and was astounded. The dancing in that movie tickled my brain in the same way that Kung Fu movies do. Just incredible. Ohayou looks great I’ll check that out…

Well who can blame them? It’s not like Disney has any other properties that are profitable right now.

Oh interesting I didn’t hear South African but that doesn’t mean anything. I’ll need to rewatch and listen for that. 

The more I think about the episode the more I like it. It works well as a little primer for Rosa Parks.

Interesting. I had heard that it was decided that she would be the one to challenge the system because of her profile since there were other people who had been arrested for the same thing. Maybe the specific bus ride wasn’t the one but I think she was going to do it eventually but hey I’m no expert obviously. 

I also like the idea that for us black and brown folks a time machine isn’t the most exciting thing in the world. I hope they touch on that again in the future. I’m liking this season a lot so far. 

Also I thought this song would’ve been more appropriate at the end.

I was concerned in the beginning but I thought it turned out alright. I thought they might touch on the fact that there was a plan for Rosa Parks to not get up but they kinda ignored that. I mean it wasn’t just happenstance what happened that day but whatever. 

I just turned my adblocker back on because of the autoplay video. Just obnoxious. 

Penultimate? Oh man I didn’t know they were ending it. Oh well I’ll come back and read this after I finish up the season this afternoon.
