Agreed. AD’s individual stats- either box score or advanced metric- that align with his HOF-level career numbers are probably fair to trust. Something like on/off stats showing the Lakers have been better without him on the floor so far? Yeah, that’s some early season sample size theater.

Totally agree. And then it becomes a double whammy in which schools in those neighborhoods get far less funding because of how much lower property taxes are. Land/home ownership and education are probably the two best ways to escape poverty and create generational wealth.

Yep, this. Bad teams don’t promote assistants to head coach when the current head coach leave, because bad teams clean house. Good programs have continuity, institutional knowledge, etc that’s worth continuing.
