Well you really can’t arrange something that does not legally exist.

Love and butterflies are nice and all, but most people have a couple of relationships where they had those, not exactly a guarantee for a good marriage.

I think there is nothing inherently wrong with arranged marriage. Having your family find a suitable person for you via a selection process is certainly a better system of finding a mate than what most people I know did, which is getting drunk with people you go to school with or sometimes work with.

I think there is a lot of panic behind that smile.

I think your example of Russia perfectly proves my point, they changed the flag and their ideology, but they still glorify mass murderers and hail war criminals as heroes.(naturally soviet soldiers can’t actually be war criminals because they won the war, but the things they did would count as war crimes)

Look for a lot of Koreans that flag means their grandmothers being forced into sexual slavery, decades of their language and culture being degraded, heck even the fact that there are two Korea’s today links back to them being occupied by the Japanese.

Strange people don’t mind celebrating things they had nothing to do with personally sports, national holidays, religious holidays etc, but when they are faced by the bad parts of history suddenly it’s all in the past and should be left there.
