I once watched an older gentleman get in a car and floor it straight from a parking spot on the street into a storefront. Luckily nobody was injured, but same thing, where he just had the throttle pinned until somebody reached in and turned off the car.

Well.. not that shocked.

I got spoiled with the heated steering wheel in our 328iX. Getting into my old Suburban (without heated seats either) is less comfortable in the winter.

It’s just harder to personally inspect and setup a PPI with a shop you trust if you need to travel for it. It may or may not be worth the time/money to travel. This is a more attractive option if you have friends in that state that can help out.

PCA membership is also a good sign. My experience is that these folks (myself included) are another level of anal-retentive about maintaining these cars.
