Typo: “The prevalence of shared parts between the 911 GT3 and the Cayman GT3 RS is a running theme throughout the new car.”

That’s exactly what this is.

That’s downtown Seattle in the second clip.

That’s a separate point that I’m not debating.

Romero had sold the car the plate was originally mounted on.

Having spent a lot of time with Porsche Club folks, I can confirm that some (not all) are insufferable about their cars and the brand.

Yeah, most people think that firefighters are hanging around waiting for a fire most of the time, when in fact they’re mostly performing paramedic duties.

Word is that Randy tried it, but to your point about the steering rack, wouldn’t have been able to make some of the tight bends at PPIHC with it (which just supports the argument that it’s a poor design decision for a street car).

My parents’ bought a ‘94 SL2 brand new. It was my mom’s first brand new car (always bought used to that point). They still have it today, even buying an automatic one when using the clutch became too much for my mom’s knee.

Perfection is the enemy of good...

Like many others, my dad is a “car guy.” He was a hot-rodder in the 60s and when his parents gave him some money to get started after college he spent it all on a brand new 1969 Corvette 427 (which he still owns today).

This seems like something that trucking companies should have figured out how to avoid by now.

Thank you for beating me to it.

My “1-2 per year” was in Escondido.

Haven’t been keeping track, but my last house (on a much busier street) seemed to have 1-2 a year go by (and that was pre-pandemic when most of the time I was at work instead of home).

Just yesterday I had a police chase go past my house for the first time that I’ve been around for in the 3 years of living here.

M80s (the news report described them as “big M80s”) and dynamite can go off underwater. My buddies and I would tie them to rocks and toss them in an old quarry pond (no fish because the water is really acidic).

Before you go off thinking your z-rated tires can go 800mph+, also understand that this little “experiment” doesn’t have the tire touch the road, which creates additional heat through friction.

Certainly, but as long as you still have criminals with guns (and incidents where cops are killed by guns), you’ll have a strong opposition to disarming the police force.
