Mercedes has this in all the new 450s and the 53 AMGs. No alternator or drive belts, and it uses regeneration to add in HP and Torque with EQ Boost. No added weight from batteries, not really super fuel efficient like a hybrid most think of, but basically used to add in performance and make the power curve smoother.

Eh I still think that Nismo thing was worse. They developed that car from the ground up and ended up way slower with way more money involved. Thats just pure failure, whereas this was just hubris with a mostly spec car series thinking they could jump into one race like that

How is spending 25k when you could buy any number of reliable used SUVs a smart move. I would never drive one of these, I don’t care about being seen in it. Theres plentiful amounts of butt ugly vehicles I would take ten times over

You can also change this with the pads. My Z3 Coupe was super grabby but I switched to a well recommended pad from the forums and a local BMW shop called akebonos that bite later and more progressively and have less dust. At first drive I felt like they didnt stop as hard, but that was only me not braking deep enough…
Its not a drag car though. Plenty of cars can outdrag my Z3 Coupe from a start, but once you hit a curve or a nice highway they can’t keep up with it. M3s aren’t supposed to be a stoplight drag racer, you go to AMG for that and get a 55 or a 63.
They can be pretty damn fun when pushed (Ive driven lots of AMG suv coupes) but sadly not many people do. The GLC63 Coupe is honestly less SUV with its ride height and more super big body sedan. It can outcorner a standard 911 too which is pretty crazy
