I had 6 of them, I can't believe I'm outdone. Then again, I also played with them. When I dragged them out to prepare to hand them down to my niece, a whole lot of them had seriously unruly hair.

Yeesh. That's so unfathomably expensive. My Samantha was the biggest Christmas gift of my childhood. My mom made it clear that I got to choose one big indulgence and we both knew this was the thing I wanted. Thank goodness I didn't try to waste the choice on a Power Wheels car.

That mystifies me completely. I can understand wanting a doll, and I can understand wanting more than one because even Barbie needs a couple friends....but eleven? I guess if you have 5-10 friends come over and play with you it'd be nice. My friends and I pooled Barbies that way, we each had 3-5.

I don't know any girls with one of them, though my daughter's checked out some of their books at the library. I know when I was last at the store in DC, their furniture was really pricey.

Yeah, I'm in favor of them introducing a WWII era Japanese-American Girl doll, especially since there isn't a representative from that period, now that Molly is retired.

There isn't in the historical collection—like I mentioned, the most diversity is in the "My American Girl" line, which I'm not sure they should get brownie points for because the whole point is there's one for every girl. And the Girls of the Year have left people who want more diversity pretty disappointed, I get the

Well, I can't remember most of my passwords, so even remembering what I post anywhere is a big effort. I stopped using twitter for ages because I forgot my password, and I couldn't reset it because I forgot the password to the email I registered it to. It's a struggle.

I don't understand why that one guy would have been tweeting about June Squibb in the first place.

You missed this gem of the story:

It looks incredibly racist.

Not all food.

Lookin like a parmesan crisp.

Uhhhh Rosie Huntington-Whitely looks perfect. This is exactly how I thought I looked in My Size Barbie dress as a child. The reality was probably preeeettty different but it didn't feel different so ROSIE HUNTINGTON WHITELY IS ME at 8 YRS OLD.

Needs more Fan Bingbing.

I don't think "flawless" does mean "thin" here. I figured Bellesario was talking about stuff like how they photoshopped away all the normal lines that humans have when they bend in certain ways. Lines, wrinkles, those things.

I've heard it more from Brit friends. Fruit names seem to be a thing there.

We gotta watch out. These liberals, they want our kids to be full-on gay. Not just sorta gay, not just experimenting, BUT AS HOMOSEXUAL AS THEY POSSIBLY CAN.

As opposed to HIS education, which only made him stupid.

I'm a teaching assistant at a university. I also know people who have PTSD. Their triggers can sometimes be very specific and quite random. On the one hand, I feel for students who might go to a class and be triggered by something. On the other hand, I'm imagining the university giving me the job of combing through
