I think this too. This judge sounds very careful, in terms of acting like a judge while not letting Trump get him riled up. If the judge is a quietly sane person behind the robe, I’m guessing his eye is on the bigger picture.

Props to Jessica Valenti (always a good writer) for wrapping it up in a nutshell:

Oh, I can really dig on this future for him.

Let’s all raise a glass to this brave-ass woman who just keeps going, in the face of unbelievable ugliness, to take that piece of orange crap down. I can’t imagine trying to live any kind of life with Trump’s insane gun-toting asshole hordes on you every moment. But she just keeps going.

Sigh, sounds right. Also barf.

I don’t get this either. Hitler was equally unimpressive personally, but Hitler was at least supposed to be a spellbinding public speaker in a time before TV (I don’t understand German so don’t know how true that is, but I’ve always read it). Trump looks dumb, lives in bankruptcy court, can’t even bluster commandingly

You’re definitely right, but I would still like to watch Trump test that theory by getting caught cheating on Melania with a Mexican pool boy who performs state-funded abortions on the side.

Don’t sell the GOP short. There’s also embarrassing the country in public.

State Rep. Brett Fairchild (R), one of the co-authors of the bill, insisted on the importance of “equal protection under the law for all unborn children” to the Kansas Reflector. He went on to baselessly claim that “science proves that life begins at conception” and that “the government has a responsibility to

“There are two genders. And no, a man cannot become a woman. Iowa, I’m asking for your vote tonight.”

ROFL at the idea of Melania “helping” anything. That woman is just counting the seconds until the will is read (joke’s on her, too).

Thank you. Hillary? Socially liberal (not always, yes, maybe not even privately, but certainly politically in 2016). Trump? A raging narcissist beholden to the religious right. Easy choice, except that some people needed to throw a tantrum...I mean, vote their conscience. I hoped by 2020 everyone would have grown up,

Honestly, if we lived in a better society, your #2 would actually be a valid and real thing. The reason I can’t get wholly on board with the empowerment-through-getting-naked movement is because we don’t have that society, but rather one in which an awful lot of people (men AND women) are still socialized to see women

Whew...look at those eyebags! That’s the face of a guy who’s up all night long pounding Red Bull and wondering when the devil will come to claim him.

A nurse called the police on her when she came to the hospital bleeding and said she was no longer pregnant, and that her fetus was in a bucket in the backyard. (Relatedly, the majority of people who are investigated by police for self-managing abortions are reported by healthcare workers.)

This is why I thought we needed Warren as well. I’m fine with Bernie’s economic policies, but both his reproductive rights record and his tendency to mansplain why the economy was more important than anything else told me that anything that only affected women’s rights was going to be dropped by the wayside. Warren,

I wanted Liz, but yeah. Say what you want about Biden; he’s not interested in turning the US into a fascist nation and tearing apart the Constitution in the process.

No one’s saying it should be “enough” to pick that guy. Personally, I’m saying it’s the only sane choice. Is it perfect? No. Do I wish there were better choices? Sure. Will my taking an uncompromising stand somehow provide us with better choices? Absolutely not. It’ll just get that orange fuckstick a second term and a

Still, I’d be willing to try it.

In July, Texas tried to throw out CRR’s lawsuit by claiming that, because some of the plaintiffs’ fertility had been impacted as a result of being denied emergency abortion care by the very abortion laws in question, these women didn’t have standing to sue.
