Thing is, it doesn’t have the same weight. If all you’re doing is holding yourself accountable, the stakes are a lot lower. They’re really arbitrary.

Hell, I wish the Biden administration was left-wing at all, let alone as left as the right contends.

Because Lego gets clicks. It’s as simple as that. User interest areas lead to content focus.

Though it really, really failed in their use of spider-man. Yeah, Peter unmasking himself was a big thing. But by making it all about his relationship to Tony, rather than the relationship to the actual philosophical ideas at play, it just weakened his character. So even coming around later felt less valuable, because

Gotcha, thanks. Just for my own clarity, is that 15 seconds until your character exits the world after the connection is lost?

I agree that it does weaken the storytelling, but I don’t think it’s bad per se.

That’s because Diablo IV’s hardcore mode treats disconnects like death in order to discourage players from trying to pull the plug in a losing battle to avoid losing a character.

Yeah, a whole fuckton of them did last month when one choked a guy to death in the subway.

Yeah, I’m scratching my head about this, too. Developers were trying to craft a specific experience - that’s the whole point of them making a game. Fixing things not working as intended is just.... part of the whole thing.

This is the actual issue with most politicians, at least at the state level or above. Some - SOME - I do think understand that publicity about their works is a necessary evil, and they would happily have put in the same efforts without them being PR stunts.

I’m sure whatever the base rights were for them to make the game in the first place would have been stable enough to ensure a long life. As a service model game, I imagine they weren’t going to wager all this work on the hope they get their license renewed every couple years.

It’s an honest experience though?

When you review a game, do you score it with everyone’s tastes and preferences in mind? Or do you just throw your own take out there and trust that the scores will aggregate into a fair representation of the game’s quality?

But there’s room for both? It’s not like there’s ONE review for a game - there are many.

This is also why it’s best to have a variety of reviews though.

I am absolutely right there with you.

Phobias are fundamentally different from normative, typical fear that most or all people feel.

I love the inability for people to consider scale or context of an issue.

Especially when it’s such a low bar that we’re talking about.

This is how I read it, too. I didn’t see it as him placing himself on par with those rappers, I absolutely saw him as saying “PLEASE don’t do that and judge the song for what it actually is.
