Neil Gaiman has been very vocal on social media about asking people to STOP sending him their fanfiction and ideas. Because then he has to be responsible for remembering it and not executing on any idea that occurs to him that is too close to it.

I remember reading testimony from a former police officer about how, in training, they specifically instructed officers to shout something like “put your hands up” or “stop resisting” after they have already fired their weapons.

The entire appeal of Snap, to me, was being able to just have a quick game or two and then... go do other things.

yeah, my only issue is that this is a targeted attack. Safety absolutely should not be left to businesses to self-regulate.

I feel like it’s also been a long while since new games had any significant amiibo functionality?

I saw it on Friday and really did not like it. I can’t think of anything... rave-worthy about it.

I always thought that it was because it was unfinished - that the “core” of each reaper looked distinctly like a different species, and that the general reaper look was the exterior hull and such, which we just didn’t see because this human reaper was early in its creation.

Yeah, a mobile gaming device that requires an internet connection immediately and automatically removes a HUGE slew of a mobile device’s biggest advantages

It gets MASSIVELY better. It’s honestly been, consistently, one of the best stories in gaming, imo, for the past 2 expansions.

Sure, but DOTA was also not a standalone game at the time. Marketing your own, distinct game is vastly different from marketing one that had to be played within another game entirely.

Bulbasaur is top for me. Protective/nurturing in the anime? Top spot.

Frankly, I can’t help but feel that part of the entire point of this is shielding silicon valley. Let people think that only the evil Chinese businesses are using their data in any questionable way, and that the noble American ones only have their best interests at heart.

Sure. I didn’t say anything against FF6 whatsoever.

And also, let’s acknowledge the huge fucking trauma that Covid was for kids. It’s one thing to have a “kids these days” rant, but lets remember that, for an 8 year old, a good quarter of life may have been spent with a very real message that outside was dangerous.

I don’t think it was ever about which deserved it more, tbh. It was which game did they think would sell, and sell potentially multiple games in a series.

Um, peaked? CoD still sells ridiculously well. Sure, a few titles have underperformed, but they’re still a massively powerful IP.

Honestly, a ten year agreement was always that. They don’t need to say anything else on top of it - the proposal itself demonstrates their current thinking.

It didn’t bother me that much specifically because Cal is on the run.

The problem is that I can’t think of a single reason a touch bar would be preferable to physical buttons. And physical buttons offer significant accessibility benefits over a touch bar. Same thing for the mute switch - it has a visual indicator for if your phone is silenced or not, which is a huge accessibility

While I get what you mean, I actually love the tiled roof. It’s by far my favorite part. Every time I see a picture of it, my eye just goes to the roof (for the right reasons).
