I always enjoyed the original when I was younger. And on paper the remake should have been EXACTLY up my alley. But for whatever reason, it just really didn’t click for me. Never made it to the end of season 1, which is a shame.

I commented this elsewhere in this thread, but I really hate possession/corruption storylines. Imo, they only work if the loss of the possession is being experienced by other characters AND if there’s a character journey for the corrupted.

I don’t mind Wanda’s general trajectory on her arc.

I think it works best if you never saw the last 2 episodes of Wandavision.

I’m legitimately surprised Genshin isn’t on this list. It never would have existed if not for BoTW, its DNA is so tied to it. 

Also, a lot of these tips are ultimately tips to move away from language which is socialized as more feminine (particularly around hedging words, filler words, whatever, no worries).

I don’t even agree with that as an absolute. I totally get what you are saying, and I’m not disagreeing that it’s fine to simply say “checking in on this.”

Nintendo exists in a relatively distinct space from other gaming ecosystems, so it stands apart. Most multi-platform games, unless they are indies, don’t come to the Switch. And the rare non-Indie that does usually sells poorly, because USUALLY they run super poorly, a la Mortal Kombar or Witcher 3. Most multiplatform…

That’s just not true, it matters substantially. FF7R was the single best exclusive launch on the PS of its entire run at 3.5 mil in the first 3 days.

The problem is that you’re comparing players to sales.
