TBH, I think both the Spa Day/Movie Night options in Tier 1 are legit. Though Spa Day can very easily be messed up and feel like it was just a grab bag trip through CVS.

Final fantasy 14 came out in 2010. It’s an online MMORPG, so it’s a fully online, multiplayer game. The first version was a commercial flop, so they took it offline and revamped the game and picked the story up 2 years after the initial release and brought it back online in 2013 with Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn.

And honestly, they probably never imagined it would be noticed by anyone. But then someone made a cutscene that panned across them, so they were REALLY noticeable.

After that into I’m sitting here, trying to think of games that came out this year. And I’ve come to two conclusions:

I 100% agree that everyone should have their basic human dignity respected. No one should be receiving vitriol, period, for not having released another book yet. That’s absurd.

And for the MGS case, it’s not even an issue of online access. It’s an issue of whether or not they can legally sell the game. Everyone who already purchased said game still has access to it whether it was digital or physical, it’s just that new sales are ending. 

They’ve been desperately trying to track down the hardware they need to expand their servers for like a year and a half. And that’s just the time they’ve been publicly talking about it.

I mean, FFXIV in its current incarnation has been around since 2013. Might not be 17 years, but 8 is still a long time.

It hasn’t even been months - it’s been over a year. They’ve been talking about wanting to expand their servers since mid 2020, and have just been outright prevented doing so because of the state of the world.

Because none of these things are mutually exclusive. You can both celebrate a diverse cast and underscore missed opportunities with a lead who isn’t approaching the story in new ways and question if this diverse supporting cast would be allowed to exist in a movie that wasn’t being led by a straight, white male.

Wow that is SO much better!! Thank you, any doubt about that future purchase is totally gone. 

Will absolutely grab the black ones... This console is way too big and ugly to be something I ever want my eye to focus on. Making it negative space will go a long way to help that.
