Pre-orders have become such an important metric on the business side that I seriously doubt that’s the case. They’d just be tossing money out the window by getting rid of them.

Weapon skins being single use and applied directly to items? Fuck no.

To help battle these, Square Enix is giving priority to owners of the full game over those participating in the ongoing free trial of Final Fantasy XIV, so if you’re still testing the waters now’s a good time to decide if you want to jump in or not.

There’s actually more context here that makes it... weird.

IIRC back in the day those mobs used to drop gil directly. It was a pitiful amount, not worth farming if you have a brain, but for a computer doing it automatically forever? It would add up.

I need to know what fantasy world you are living in where HR is demanding that male supervisors never be alone with their female staff. This just isn’t a thing that HR would do, because it’s absolutely illegal, and their job is to avoid getting sued, not legitimately stack the cards so they will.

FFXIV has had more subscribers than WoW for at least a few years now. FFXIV has ~2m daily players, WoW has about 1m. New World is also about 1m.

Oh that’s good to know!

Totally fair. I don’t know the extent of the glitches at all, which is why I was asking in the first place.

Yep.

Well, as a note, the game leaked early.

Tbh, I can’t say I ever felt like there was much substance in the game.

I love both piplup and turtwig. I’ve never cared for chimchar.

Are any of these glitches one a casual player is likely to encounter?

Two reasons.

I’ve also been around for a long time, and I can’t say I’ve noticed that so I can’t comment on it, as a trend, in general. Not saying you’re wrong, just really can’t say I’ve noticed.

It’s really not that deep.

I both agree with you that people take fandom way too seriously. If someone doesn’t like the thing you like, it’s legitimately fine.

The tone of these sites has always been sarcastic. I mean. They were part of the Gawker network. It really hasn’t changed...

Obviously issues with the company, sure. But even if they were many, many degrees worse than they are (cough, Facebook and Google, cough) I’d still be very much on their side against the douchebag sexually harassing children for online fame.
