Sure. Sometimes yes.

I’m normally a very pleasant person.

We’re really just horrendously prepared for the digital realities of the present.

Except the modders didn’t rebuild it from scratch. They used an entirely different, fan-made modding toolkit which has been built over the last 10 years to migrate the content into ME3 as a mod. This is very different from rebuilding the source code for something.

I love how all the responses are just “well actually your example is proof of why it IS a helpful comparison...”

I was responsible for the cost management at a bakery brand when the vanilla price exploded and holy shit that sucked...

yeah, some quick googling suggests lacto-fermentation.

Ahhhh, I gotcha, thanks!

I just really wish they’d add an easy way to make villagers leave.

My last life was project managing process excellence improvements for companies. I am intimately familiar with this dynamic of in-fighting hidden behind lip service.

I wouldn’t call that change at the top, though. Because either the CEO doesn’t care enough for it to be an actual expectation that managers who report up are being held to, and it’s just lip service, OR the other opposition to the idea are also at the top of the org and the CEO doesn’t really have power over them

Yeah, sauteed or roasted garlic is the way to go.

Roasted is particularly nice, as it will mash in very well.

Better yet, just make peace with lumpy, country-style mashed potatoes and keep the peels! Potato peels are so nutrient dense, I always feel like it’s such a shame to toss them...

One more tip: For garlic mashed potatoes, put in about five or six cloves of garlic from a bulb with the potatoes while boiling. Mash them right up with the potatoes

Honestly, studies have pretty reliably shown that top-down change is actually effective. It’s just that change at the top basically never happens.

I can understand that, but that’s not so much self-cleaning, right?

When water touches that leaf, instead of soaking into the microscopic grooves, it rolls off the surface of the leaf, taking dirt and dust with it.

I also just never understood the HP one. I used to be a huge HP fan, pre JK’s descent into terfdom, but... the game was just weird. Thing is, HP isn’t a COLLECTOR’S ip. So just having us collect stuff wasn’t that exciting.

I mean, from what I’ve seen, relatively few players have left WoW because of the sexual harassment situation (whether Blizzard’s involvement in it, or Blizzard’s in-game response to it).

The big problem is that trail mix has been billed as a snack. It legitimately wasn’t meant to be. It’s a deliberately arranged, calorically dense mix of foods which will burn at different rates in your body. It’s meant to be eaten in very small quantities, over time, for longterm endurance activities.
