No, it’s really not that simple. Retail value and potential revenue per platform is not 1:1.

It doesn’t, though. Because it’s not that simple.

Going from a limited fan base to an expanded fan base is fundamentally different from an expanded fan base to a limited one.

JFC.

I don’t know Shield Hero, so I can’t comment there. But it’s very much a blend of the yikes to the outright problematic.

Yep.

That’s..... an interesting take, which also has absolutely nothing to do with the situation at hand...

This is ultimately what I expect.

Yeah. I’ve lost confidence in essentially all anti-trust acquisition decisions from the US government at this point.

Not really surprising.

Yeah. It’s really WAY too common at this point.

Yeah. It’s really a problem, and it’s just so embedded into the genre now.

HDR does not require 4k resolution to function. You tend to see it available on more 4K TVs than 1080p ones, sure, but that’s largely a product of the market demanding the feature, because buzz words sell more TVs, not because they’re inextricably linked.

Thancred’s words, specifically.

The frustrating reality of this 4k obsession is also that almost no one actually sets up their living rooms in ways that even matters for the distinction between 1080p and 4k.

They did announce that expandable storage is coming soon.

Tbh, at this point I call it a win for consoles to have backwards compatibility for just ONE generation. So I’m not getting greedy beyond that.

How much did the XBone update the 360 ui? Because I thought the 360's interface was absolute trash.

I read every. single. key. item. description.

It also seems like WAY more work to mess around with cooking cheetos into the mac and cheese than to just, like, put paprika/chili/cayenne in the damn roux. (By which, in instant mac land, I mean the flavor packet).
