I think what people are responding to is the fact that the weird plastic jacket thing juts out above the disc slot so that, for many home theater setups, you can’t actually see where the slot is when standing above the machine. You need to bend over/back up to see where to put the disc.

I’ve found the game generally playable. But “generally playable” for me has involved 2-3 crashes to desktop in 3-5 hours of playing.

I know they play differently, though - that’s my point.

Now that I’m watching it....

I’ve been playing (and watching my bf play) this since getting it on sale.

I like to hope that they’ll respond to criticism and:

I really wanted to like Black Lightning, but I couldn’t get past the first 4-5 episodes...

The bowl method isn’t really sufficient for actually addressing a problem, alone. It’ll help, though.

The thing that sucks about dev bonuses being tracked to either sales or review aggregates are that overwhelmingly the developers don’t get to make the strategic decisions (in either development or in marketing/sales tactics). So it’s a rough place to be.

I mean, it’s not 9 to 5 in Japanese corporate world - they’re already generally putting in more hours than staff in other nations are.

Yeah, this is why bug conversations are always so hard. The more complexity to the systems of a game, the more bugs you see.

Yeah. The thing about being a fan is that you have to keep yourself in check. It’s easy to slide down directly into the vat of koolaid.

Well I find this article’s thesis as an interesting critique of that idea. It’s arguing that reviews aren’t indicative of the general zeitgeist around quality, because publications that will focus on quality over hype have stopped giving scores.

Most people buy a game, play it, and never feel the need to tell a group of strangers anything about it.

Tbh I can never actually remember which film was Justice League and which was Batman vs. Superman, because they both live in the exact same “please don’t make me think about this film” part of my brain.

No, he had normal templar armor. But he was the only living templar in the actual tower, iirc.

He’s severely traumatized during the events of DA1, since the circle was overrun with abominations. He was the one screaming for the rite of anulment.

Thank you! This was very helpful.

Well I assume it’s not supposed to be rendered. That’s what the bug is.

I think DA’s true strength is in how complex characters feel.
