I do understand where you’re coming from, but I also think that’s a bit too reductive. I find Vivienne delightfully complex because she is flawed - they all are. And her being flawed is how I can explore those questions around bondage more easily, because my own innate reaction is “Nope, free the mages, next question.”

Now that you mention film grain... what the hell is it???

Oooof, I’m sorry. I’m assuming you’ve reloaded and tried again? I haven’t encountered that glitch. Doing some googling suggests that restarting the PS4 has solved this issue for some people? Hope it works for you!

Question!

Ultimately, I just don’t understand the complaint. There are SO MANY review sites that will give this a score. If that’s what you want, go read them?

Kamala Khan has become a hugely successful addition to the Marvel lineup because she’s delightful. And relatable.

Takeout and delivery exist, though.

What’s it like to live in such an angry little world?

Many people seem to have this blind spot with game reviews like they feel there’s objectivity here. It’s the thing I see most intensely by those angry Kotaku doesn’t give numeric scores to games.

I think this is a huge part of what people aren’t understanding. This game exists as part of a larger genre, and the hype/marketing about it has aggressively been trying to position itself as a pivotal addition to that canon.

I very much disagree? Cyberpunk, as a genre, has delved very deep into these questions. Maybe not all of them in one work, but it’s usually a backbone of what makes many works in the genre great.

I think you’re being extremely unfair?

I got this game on one of the super sales over Black friday. (like $25-30?)

This is just so consistently beyond my ability to comprehend the gaps in our political system.

Yeah, this is a big deal. It’s not JUST about that one sale, it’s about whether or not they’ll come back to you to buy other hardware, games, and anything else you sell.

You seem like a pleasant person.

Well, a substantial part of it is about reframing. There’s a strong push in modern disability advocacy to instill that disability is simply part of an individual’s reality.

The fundamental aspect of this kind of ableist language that advocates are trying to address is the word being used to inherently note something lacking.

I mean, I have no sympathy for the production company. It’s such an idiotic thing to include, and it’s not even a good joke if you DON’T know the racist connotation. So there’s no real reason to include it?

Former restaurant manager here, and I want to point out one factor here is always about rate of use, too.
