I can’t say I have any experience with that. The only game beta tests I’ve been involved with have certainly been actual beta tests.
That’s my take, too.
And that’s just the US. Plenty of other decently large markets have even worse infrastructure.
The reality there, imo, is that it ultimately would be self-defeating. That’s a lot of additional engineering, a lot of work in manufacturing and distribution, etc., for an extremely low number of users. Because you’re really only looking at a subset of people who want physical games who will actually adopt a system…
This drove me insane in the comments on the last article, too. People were INSISTING that a beta was a demo.
IIRC, all this stuff is learned by largely independently investigating Aldmeri bases and such? I don’t entirely remember.
What? You could tease Alistair more than any other companion...
VIVIENNE <3
In fairness, this was an issue when it was new, too. The game has a memory leak issue. You need to restart every so often, or eventually it’ll get too unstable and crash.
You MONSTER
I missed the Thieves Guild from Oblivion, though. That was much more morally grey, steal from the rich kinda stuff.
I responded to someone else who responded to you, but I’ll respond here because I dont’ know how notifications work on this hellsite.
Spoiler alert for Skyrim even though it’s been out forever, but:
I can’t even choose a kinda mean dialogue option be cause I’ll feel guilty about it and reload.
Yeah, that’s totally fair.
I think where appropriation gets so complicated, for me, is the fact that the damage of appropriation is so frequently due to the wider world which isn’t interested in engaging in context or nuance.
ABSOLUTELY.
Literally Hawke and every one of his misfit friends each, individually, owe Aveline a lifetime of free drinks. More than a lifetime.
Yep! It’s one of those games where I listen to people’s complaints and largely always go “YEP! You right.”
