I’m not sure I understand- is the consensus among left-of-center Floridians that DeSantis did a good job with Covid? Because from what I can see, Florida fared worse than both New York and California in terms of Covid deaths per capita. I’ll never underestimate the shortsightedness of the American electorate, but…

Donald Trump was always the opening gambit of full far-right governance. The real worry was the guy who came next, with more radical ideas in a more presentable package. This is that guy. As a Floridian, I can say quite honestly, we should all be very worried indeed.

It would be nice if they would get that annoyed about TikTok being so draconian in the first place that they have to invent code words and like, boycott or something productive...but it’s easier to bully people for not knowing their slang I guess.

This is not just a TikTok issue. YouTube is similar, many videos now say “SA” instead of sexual assault to avoid getting a strike or being demonetized. And while “SA” is more obvious than “mascara”, it highlights how social media companies are great at banning the wrong topics.   

How about just staying away from Republic of China data-mining apps? I am at a loss as to how people don’t see this as the long con as it clearly is.
