I think it is wrong for doctor’s to be prescribing a diabetes medication to people who are not diabetic. Diabetic drugs and supplies can be very expensive for diabetics to purchase without other people driving up the cost. A lot of providers are switching to making sure patients have started a healthy diet and exercise program before the providers will consider prescribing these medications.  Patients need a good foundation to start from in order to be successful long-term.
