For the record I think you’re being a bit rough on Love. He’s not a fucking stooge. You can’t average 24-13 in the NBA if you suck, it’s impossible. I hope that he gets used a little bit better by the new coaching staff.

An awesome move I argued vehemently against. I am a moron.

Yes, the story that his teams second best player’s agent is actively discouraging clients from going to his team certainly does nothing to make him sound like an idiot.

I explained above, but in short, they needed to use their draft picks wisely (which they have, I would say... kind of done) then fill out the roster with role players on reasonable contracts. You have to be competitive to attract top talent.

You go to hell and you die!

I am also a Sixers fan. I want you to know I understand, and I am so, so sorry. Why do we do this to ourselves?

Their front office has done an unbelievable job. That Draymond Green deal, in particular, is fucking highway robbery.

I’ll be damned, you’re right. I did not realize that.

I doubt it. Hinkie seems like the kind of guy incapable of self doubt. Like he’ll be running around at 70 saying The Process would have worked if he’d had one more year.

EXCUSE ME.

This is Nerlens Noel’s agent. He reps the second best player on your team and he basically won’t talk to the GM.

Yes.

Yeah I mean generally my opinion on All Star games is that they’re exhibitions, so who gives a shit? But if they were supposed to be serious (and they do come up in things like HOF conversations) then there should not be fan voting, because fans are fucking morons.

I don’t see what the big deal is. Did you guys know KOBE BRYANT is an All-Star this year?

Haven’t seen that much of them but when I have they just basically look young. Several people have mentioned Rubio’s shooting, which is a problem, but to me it just looks like a team whose best players are rookies or sophomores.

Sorry - I meant -80% political, 20% real stuff.

A lot of people recommend that, but the original reason I joined was to keep up with more distant family and friends so I could see about births/marriages/deaths/divorces, etc. Hiding their posts seem like it would kind of defeat that purpose.

My mom is not on Facebook and my uber-conservative father has (thank God) a lot of patients and business partners as friends on FB and thus refrains from posting anything political. Still a lot of family members and friends are not so circumspect.

Quit (then returned to) Facebook for about a year, and am a hairs-breadth from doing it again, basically because I can no longer handle the 80-20 ratio of “fun or interesting posts by my friends” to “batshit political memes posted by my acquaintances, and disturbingly, sometimes by my friends.”
