I agree that budget certainly gave it a small margin for error. My opinion after seeing it is that the fundamental “premise” of Ghostbusters (which is four distinct personality types playing off each other) was lost on them.

LOL - yeah they got within 20m of covering their production costs domestically, and if only they’d had about 150m more overseas they might have even broke even on their marketing costs! People loved it!

Carbon fiber material isn’t that expensive. The reason it costs so much is because it’s both time intensive to manufacture and really easy to fuck up, in which case you’ve got to start over (so usually you have to be paying someone with a pretty reasonable skill level to do your lay-ups.)

At what point are we going to talk about Watt being a pretty good 220 pound high school player, and a decent 220 pound tight end at Central Michigan, before walking on at Wisonsin, “miraculously” gaining roughly 70 pounds, and being the world beater he is today?
