We really need some kind of national standard for these driving aids. Forward cameras need to be able to recognize motorcycles and bicycles, or else they are not allowed to be deployed. And ‘bicycle / pedestrian recognition’ should not be an extra cost option. It should come standard with all such cameras.

What does KIA stand for again?

Israel is also a nightmarish country when it comes to security checks. Not a good example to follow. Oh year, they also got hit by terrorism big time.

It’s time to end all these security nonsense. They have never caught any actual terrorists and in any event, the next terrorist will do something different than the last terrorist.

The Mach E looks a million times better than the Tesla S/3/Y (which I can’t even tell apart most of the time). And I am the furthest from being a Ford fan in general.

I have a  2018 BMW 3 series. When traffic is light I sometimes use the automatic cruise too. But frankly when the traffic is light it’s not all that mentally taxing to drive yourself.

I’ve been on some sailboats that were incredibly well built and gorgeous as well. They were pure pleasure to sail for a weekend or more.

the response should be to empty clips and keep reloading.

we have a long border with Mexico where a ton of contraband gets funneled into our country already.

Don’t defund the police. Just disarm them.

Let’s not be ridiculous here. This is Chicago. The ‘rival gang’ is not going to be a bunch of white people in khaki pants.

Evidence speaks. If the deceased had fired from inside the car there would be gun residue and shell cases.

I can hear the gunshots but I don’t see any muzzle flashes from inside the car.  So it is possible that a third party was firing at the cop, but at this point the most likely explanation would still be that the deceased fired his gun first.

Yes it was overkill but if the deceased really shot at the police then the police had no choice but to return fire. Let’s save your anger for when the police really deserve it.

Well this wasn’t one of those cases. This guy did have a gun.

It wouldn’t take this many cops to cite somebody for seatbelt violation. I am guessing the cops knew who he was.

A normie being approached by 5 armed plainclothes people in vests might believe they are being carjacked or mugged.

Yes we should wait for further facts before jumping to conclusion. It should be fairly simple and straightforward to test for gun residue and look for spent shells inside the car if the deceased had indeed fired from inside the car.

Even the closest setting has this problem. I actually don’t mind people cutting in front of me all that much. But the main problem is that the automatic cruise control would then slam on the brakes to re-open the appropriate gap. Whereas a human would just ease up on the gas to gradually re-open the gap.
