Extended warranties are altogether different than maintenance plans. A warranty is more like an insurance plan. Whereas a maintenance plan is something everyone will (or should) use. So the proper term should be ‘prepaid maintenance plan’. 

With China- lots of accusations are thrown about, but very little is actually proven. Even with Huawei -lots of accusations but thus far nobody has seen any evidence that Huawei is doing any hacking or spying.

The plaintiff suing Toyota at least got actual service performed. My wife was suckered into buy a $240 ‘maintenance plan’ for the 2017 Nissan Leaf that she was leasing for two months. The scheduled maintenance of the Nissan Leaf over those two months is ..... nothing.
