I understand what you are saying about the intricate parts, and 3D printing does have its place for those parts. But the video shows them 3D printing the entire rocket body. What problem is that solving? Typically that is a hot rolled sheet of metal, right?

Once upon a time we had people who had legible grievances with the government- AIM, Puerto Rican independence, etc. Their tactics may have been wrong, but their grievances were at least understandable.

Fake license plate, expired tags, one of the bulbs is out. What’s the difference.

Can anyone explain why it’s cheaper to build this way versus the tradional way? I mean- for a one-off rocket I can see the appeal. But if you were going to make a batch of 20 or whatever, I am not seeing how 3D printing beats traditional manufacturing.

All of the sheet metal has now been replaced but in NC there is no way to get a salvage title re-issued as a normal title.

Great point. Just because a car has a clean title doesn’t necessarily mean it is in fact clean. Last year I looked at low mileage Ford C-Max at a used car dealer which had poorly repaired damage from front to back along the whole right side. The right rear door squeeked every time you opened and closed it. And yet it

Some states have a ‘Junk’ title separate from the salvage title. In some states the junk title car can be put back on the road, and other states don’t allow that.

If it’s just sheetmetal damage that would be a good buy. But the way the front wheel is pushed in- it’s more than just sheet metal damage. I don’t like it.

collision shop owner who bought the car at salvage and did the rebuild work. He tells me there was no damage to the frame although he replaced the hood, left quarterpanel, headlight assembly etc.

My simplest answer for washing cars: Why? Unless there is something corrosive (like bird poop) on your car- there is really no urgent need to wash your car on a regular basis. If it rains occasionally there is no need to wash your car really.

Wouldn’t they filter that water when they recycle it?

Yeah. I don’t see how this project could make sense financially.

That Matrix XRS at least looked pretty good. They stuffed the same engine into a Corolla XRS- now that was misfit.

I thought the original VW engine cases were also Magnesium. I believe the reproduction ones (or possibly the late model Mexican ones) are aluminum.

aluminum reproduction engine cases done for later cars

For realtors entering listed houses that is typically the case, but for car dealers? That makes no sense.

idle miles? With gas at $5, who can afford idle miles any more?

An easier solution would be to just lock up the key box.

It makes sense. Right now the E-Bike space is littered with oddball brands out of China, and fly-by-night brands that are just re-brands of the chinese bikes. So there is a dearth of name brands that people associate with reliability and dependability. Will ‘Ride1Up’ be around 5 years from now when you need a
