Any type of aftermarket electrical component is iffy for me. I don’t care how ‘professional’ an installation it was, the wiring is always a nightmarish tangle with mismatched wiring gauge and fuses.

OK. So shouldn’t it fall on this company to do its job instead of having the taxpayers pony up or having to pass the hat around?

Well said. I see no ‘art’ in this supposed art installation.  Let it die please.

Rancho Cucamonga? This project already has fail written all over it.

I can’t wait for the dealers to go the way of the dinosaurs. There is hardly a worse bunch of useless parasites in the animal world than car dealers.

It’s time for the federal government to bite the bullet and enforce uniform standards for all chargers all over the country. You should be able to just drive up to a charger, plug it into your car, and your account will be automatically charged with no fuss.  They should have done this a dozen years ago.

There is actually no shortage of power after 11pm or so. They encourage you to charge after 11pm.

The only thing scarier than AI, is buggy AI.

OK- you seem to be missing a lot of facts:

People keep saying the Land Rover has all-season tires on, but the way the snow is stuck to the entire tread, leads me to think it actually has snow tires on.

To be fair, the Outback really is very capable in the snow. I’ve driven my 2012 Outback in the snow both with all season tires and snow tires, and I simply could not tell any difference. I had zero issues with all seasons on the Outback. Ironically I did have a scary moment with the snow tires when it couldn’t find

‘Snow tires’ is a misnomer. These should be called cold weather tires. The rubber compound is designed to remain pliant at temperatures below 45 degree F. In other words, they are fine to drive on at temperatures =< 45 degree regardless of whether the road surface is snowy or dry.

Interesting. I didn’t know that.

If all 4 wheels are stopped and the car is sliding, the ABS will think that the car is stationary, and ABS will not activate.

It would be nice to have the choice of either snow chains or snow tires for 2WD cars.

Nowadays pretty much all tires, save the most extreme summer performance tires, have the M&S symbol.

Ha! I am surprised NASCAR hadn’t done this already. Nowadays nobody buys sedans any more. Instead of using sedan bodies, they should switch to using CUV bodies because that’s where the market is.

This being the US of A, that would be the correct starting point.

In California, they only require chains on 2WD cars. 4WD and AWD cars only require M+S tires. For some reasons CA  does not recognize snow tires (ie. 3 mountain peaks symbol) in any way shape or form.

Well I certainly wouldn’t modify my phone or laptop.
