Most likely way less because corporations learn to structure small sub-units that can go bankrupt independently without sinking the mothership. The ultimate cost to the government and society in general of course, will run nine or ten figures.

Regardless of the dickishness of the owner, it is a majestic ship.

You are probably too young to remember, but back in the 90's , there was a huge national scandal when Arthur Andersen- one of the ‘Big Five’ accounting firms at the time- was revealed to have been falsifying their audits in order to help Enron cover their schemes.

Everyone has already answered that question for you. And have for the last 5 years at least. The system is overwhelmingly tilted in favor of the police and the police unions and the DA’s office do everything in their power to maintain this state of affairs.

We should be looking at the county attorney’s office for some answers, shouldn’t we?

The police union IS a representative body of the entire group.

I am glad NHTSA finally woke up from its coma.

Elon Musk has made a career out of not following established rules. I can see him rationalizing his way out of having to obey stop signs.

Just curious- why are these called ‘transaxle Porsches? I mean the usual rear engined Porches also use a tranaxle. Likewise the mid engined Boxsters also use transaxles.

I have a 2018 BMW 330i wagon, and the one thing that bugged me and continues to bug me is the throttle/transmission lag. If the car is coasting along at a low speed, and you floor the gas pedal, it takes a long time for the engine to spool up and the transmission to downshift, and finally for the car to accelerate. By

I vote for the Prius C:

EVs cost more than comparable ICEs to purchase

You know what I hate about the NP/ND voting? A lot of people are living in 2019. Let’s vote on the basis of today’s used car prices, not 2019 used car prices. Right now any running used car is $2500. All those people saying ‘it would be nice if it was $3000' are all living in the past.

NP. There are far worse ways to spend $5000 used car wise. Also- I am not seeing any surface rust.

Just make sure you have a streetsweeper small enough to sweep that bike lane. Some divided bike lanes get clogged with junk because the big street sweepers never sweep these lanes.

Where in the video did you see this now? The car just came up on the cyclists and started dooring them.

I think the 11/12 seater LWB full sized van is probably the sweet spot. The 15 passenger one is the ‘extended’ AKA whale tail van. It’s realistically too long to fit most parking spots and too unwieldy to drive.

The problem I have with this type of vehicle is that, although it’s big, the space utilization really sucks. The trunk floor is narrow because the side walls of the trunk are huge and thick for no reason. The power strut takes up a huge amount of space.  The trunk floor itself is also very high. Yes I understand there

For daily use, EV’s are most certainly cheaper to run than gasoline cars.  Maintenance costs are way lower as well.

How are they making the mess happen elsewhere ?
