Yeesh. Totally out of context comment that isn’t even applicable to what we’re talking about here.

Drive a new Mazda sometime. They are worth the extra money. They're much more upmarket than their percieved competitors.
Bah! Nailed it!
Boom! Good comment!
I agree with you. It’s not like the engineering team said this, “Hey Jim, don’t forget to program in where a guy is autocrossing, spins out, hits a bunch of pylons, launches the car into the air, and it lands a little bit sideways on its return back to the ground. You already programmed that in, right? Thanks.”
I would like to see the damage those pylons did to the car. When he plowed over them sideways, the car took a pretty significant leap. If the car took a huge, lateral g-load, and possibly vertical as well, the car thought it was flipping. I’m sure if it was just a normal spin, this may not have happened.
Go buy something else, then. That is more than enough power.
Huh. My CX-5 2.5 NA has plenty of power down low for that size engine. Maybe you should try other NA motors on the market that size. You’ll notice that it’s actually has a nice, broad powerband.
Yeah!
It’s fantastic that a smaller company like Mazda, not known for the fastest cars on the planet, chooses to still compete like this.
Hey, I grew up as a toddler with my dad’s CJ Golden Eagle. He and we loved that thing! He’d take us to go do donuts in parking lots. That’s probably why I’m a gearhead.
Really!? They are so easy to spot. How do we get our local law enforcement to get on this?
So irritating. My new favorite part of all these “bros” is the trend of putting aftermarket LED headlights in halogen housings. They light up everything but the road. Oh, and they have to put them in their fog lamp housings as well and drive around shining with absolutely not one patch of fog.
That is a Yamaha Bravo. A 250cc, single cylinder, oil injected 2-stroke. Look them up! They sound like an oversized chainsaw! One of my first sleds.
This is a fantastic comment! Ha ha ha!
I have a Range Rover Sport. That's a mid-size. Mecans are pretty small compared to that. A Mecan is even smaller than a CX-5.
Though I appreciate the article, I hardly believe this counts as a “mid-sized crossover”. Cayenne, sure. This is borderline small hatch, which is still awesome.
SkyActiv-X
Yes! That will be my choice! Less driveling drag at the bigger tracks! I had a Focus ST and tracked the hell out it with FWD. I LOVED that car. Loved. I will be buying the 3 in the spec you said. I have a CX-5 with the 2.5, auto and AWD and that little thing gets up and goes pretty well!
“But the CrossTrek is so slow with a garbage interior!”
