Ha! The Range Rover Sport wannabe.

Oh, totally! You know, I just saw the CX-5 Turbo EPA numbers come out yesterday. It loses 3 MPG on the highway. 3 on the highway! For what? You’re still going 70, you have a steady speed. Is it to say, “Yeah, but when I need to merge, or pass someone going up a mountain.” Do what the rest of us did growing up. Be

I had a Focus ST and loved that thing! I get where you’re coming from.

Can you imagine how fast that's going to feel? I think my 2.5 is plenty quick for what it is!

Manuals only if possible here, Sloth. I’ll have to try the new Accord, but love that you can get it in a manual.

Bah! Love this reply! Seriously. I grew up with WAY less power than this and had a blast. Even at the track. The people with the smallest engines have the biggest smiles.

This is a “car enthusiast” site, so I did expect this reaponse. I also heard these same people clamoring for a new Suzuki Jimny with a whopping 100HP. The rest of the world makes due. I just don’t understand our lust for that much power.

Could you imagine driving a CX-5 with a CVT? NO THANKS. Any CVT is awful unless you want ultimate gad mileage on the highway.

Okay. Answer noted.

I'm just trying to tell the "kids", you can have a hell of a lot of fun without a lot of power. Enthusiast or not. That equates to the track as well.

I've owned some really powerful stuff. I can tell you that power does not always equal fun.

Ha ha. I smell what you're cooking.

That’s fine. I have no problem with that. I’ve had that HP, and have no need for it away from a track, where I spend most of my time.

CVT?

I hear your point. And again, with two of my previous cars in the last 5 years having 510 HP, 5.0L SC V8s. I guess I got it out of my system thinking how stupid it is.

With more weight and profile.

Well I agree with you on one thing... No way in hell would I pay 34k for one of those. That's absurd.

Okay... but not for the rest of we 270 million or more who don't live in the mountains.

Please, with the power thing. I have 187 in my stupid (but fun) Mazda CX-5 and it’s MORE than enough for everyday driving. I have owned cars with 510, 400 and have 340 as my other daily. I never use that power, and hence keep going down the HP range. What are you guys doing that you need so much power?

I’m just analyzing your comment now. You realize you’re talking about something from 20-30 years ago and then saying, “No offense?”
