No worries! I bought a new one and know it has 6 of the shortest gears ever. 3,500 RPM at 75 MPH!!! Hopefully that helps it be faster at the track.

Headlights. I’m already watching all these “Bros” swap out their halogens for LEDs in the halogen housing. They blind people coming at them. Another thing, turn on your fog lights at night and notice how they close your pupils so you can’t see the main beam pattern as well. I drive at night, 40 minutes a day on my…
6-speed. ;)
GM trucks. Simple.
Ha! If you’re cross-shopping a 2,700 lb car with a 3,600-3,800 lb car, you’re not doing it right. I’d prefer my consumables actually last more than a day like any other track toy. These cars are too damn heavy now and cost a fortune to run them on any sort of track. I wish I could buy a C7, but I have plenty of other…
Watched that! It made me love it even more!
Two “groups?” I’m seeing the article saying 300 locomotives lined up end-to-end for 3 miles.
If a current locomotive is about 75 feet long, those things aren’t lined up end-to-end for 3 miles. Come on.
I own a new Yukon Denali. I get about 20.2 combined and about 23.2 highway. Do the math percentage-wise. That’s a big difference in something I knew turbochargers would ruin. I had a Focus ST. That thing also didn’t come close to its EPA rating driving it like a grandma.
Oh, that rear solid axle on the GM trucks is a killer on space. Also, it slopes the rear load floor, so everything you put in the back wants to roll out. I cannot think of who approved that terrible design. Otherwise, I just feel the look and materials of the new Ford trucks are a little behind the current GM big…
Oh yeah. If you’re towing a lot and for long distances, you’ll definitely need something that makes it a breeze. Does anyone still make a 454!?
Oh man. If I’m able to pull around an R5 with no problems, you should be able to get away with a GM 6.2! I’d think my set-up might weigh more than yours, but since I only have to tow the thing twice per year over relatively flat land, it’s not a problem.
As a boat geek, what do you have that weighs that? I’m a new Cobalt R5 with just one 8.2 Merc 380.
Interesting, but I think you’re “kind of a rarity” when it comes to towing. Mines 6.5k loaded and our Denali pulls it like there’s nothing back there. Either way, I’m sure the Ford can pull, but those damn turbochargers drink fuel under load.
I just think they get poor gas mileage for what they are.
I think the new Navigator is gorgeous inside and out. I totally agree with you.
Really? I’ve tried all of them (own a new Yukon Denali) andthe Ram is a cheap, rattly mess. I really hope the new Rams kick that up a bunch. They look pretty for the new ones. Now just up the materials and quality of the interior.
Agreed.
Our latest gen Yukon Denali gets far better gas mileage with it’s 6.2L V8. I also feel the interior is much nicer to be in than the new Ford.
Why hasn’t anyone mentioned those Land Rover low profile, super quiet tires? You put some real tires on any of the bigger Land Rovers and you can’t stop them.
