And this is exactly why I’m NOT in the greys here. The political leanings here are def not conservative but they don’t seem to be SOOOO far left that they’re trying to make us share our cars with our neighbors. I don’t bother posting on jez or root because there’s not an actual discourse there. It’s just an echo

A few things strike me as important here

I’m curious if the cars could handle slicks. Breaking something when your tires actually hook up is pretty common with drag vehicles. An EV producing all that torque instantly is only going to make that problem worse.

Gizmodo disappears users who make political comments the editors disapprove of. It can be just your one comment, or they can disappear everything you’ve ever said. Everything looks normal to you when you post, but then your comment only shows up in your history.

Agreed.

I’d like to add-this now DOUBLES the number of components needed to steer the vehicles, right? More stuff to break no doubt on these behemoth vehicles.

Can’t wait for 15 years from now when Delphi no longer makes the parts for 4 wheel steering just like the last time they did this on the GMC Sierra

It’s almost a perverse way of maintaining the pressure that Biles seems to be buckling under.

Yeah, I’m thrown off by how everyone seems to be saying , “GREAT! This is fantastic news!” It is not fantastic news. It sucks for her teammates, it sucks for the people who could have gone in her place, and quitting mid-competition is really not something to celebrate. We can be compassionate about the decision, but

Can we find some more nuanced way of discussing this? Can we acknowledge that it is important and right for Biles to look after her mental and physical health, while also acknowledging that what happened to day was not, in fact, “worth celebrating?” It is unfortunate that she was unable to complete the competition and

It’s complicated, because I just can’t square the two ideas that 1) she can withdraw from the competition for her own totally valid mental health reasons and 2) she can still be the “greatest.”

I’ve owned two including my current truck Both have had the exact same issues. Rust, ABS issues, poor wiring quality, A/C issues, rear main seal leaks, probably a few things that aren’t coming to mind. Oh yeah, the tailgate cover does always fall off, and the plastic clips that actuate the latch always break.

Let me just characterize the GMT800s once and for all:

You’re right. This author seems be using “mansplaining” for anything a man says.

When Katie told Andrew to continue following his NFL/Europe dream, I thought to myself, “stick a fork in him.  He’s done.”  And I’d be similarly shocked if Dead Wife Guy went the distance.  Katie’s saying the right words, but the feelings behind them are thin at best.

This article seems needlessly negative.

While I was convinced that Katie would pick Andrew in the end, my husband mansplained to me that Andrew got too real with Katie when he asked her about his career and if she would want him to give it up if they ended up together.

I think the questionable content in this case was your unexplained declaration that we should totally accept one arbitrary definition of space and discount the other. Then proposed another arbitrary standard, which if accepted, would not only remove Gus Grissom and Alan Shepherd from the list of space travelers, but

He is the new Adam Clark Estes who had takes like “Email is done” and “Microsoft Office is a relic that nobody uses”.

Just a straight fucking moron out for controversial clicks only.

I’m fed up with the drivel Eric barfs up that I am tempted to not read Jalopnik. His hateful sniveling speaks far more of his character than any of his topics do.
