A few things strike me as important here

I’m curious if the cars could handle slicks. Breaking something when your tires actually hook up is pretty common with drag vehicles. An EV producing all that torque instantly is only going to make that problem worse.

It’s complicated, because I just can’t square the two ideas that 1) she can withdraw from the competition for her own totally valid mental health reasons and 2) she can still be the “greatest.”

I’ve owned two including my current truck Both have had the exact same issues. Rust, ABS issues, poor wiring quality, A/C issues, rear main seal leaks, probably a few things that aren’t coming to mind. Oh yeah, the tailgate cover does always fall off, and the plastic clips that actuate the latch always break.
