Homes are affordable in CA, if you move to a undesirable location (re: desert). But where all the people live wages aren’t even in the homeownership ballpark anymore. Typical LA home costs ~1 million vs 100k wage with very high taxes and other living expenses. I could get my same job in Kansas with a 15k pay cut and

I think the above comment was referring to California homeownership being the second lowest in the country, so with 46% of prospective EV buyers having landlords who won't (unless forced) install chargers, there's a large population of the state that's going to be keeping the used ICE market going for a good long

I for one choose to believe that they will take this home-run of a concept and release it as-is cause I'm not even a muscle car person but I kinda want one.

Considering he was the one pushing VW so hard for EVs I wonder how this will change VWs electrification plans and future lineup.

I mean the K5 is just the optima refresh so it ought to have a similar trunk. Seconding the roominess of Optima trunks though - they’re quite large for modern cars.

The Stinger deserves a second life as a performance EV, especially since it's getting discontinued before I can afford to get one :(

It’s just so small. It has about the same presence as a Maverick.

That certainly that didn’t stop Jalopnik from making click-bait articles about it:

A couple more years hasn't helped the Mach-E much.

I doubt that Carvana or Vroom survive the next 5 years. Rocket Companies is almost certainly waiting for Vroom’s stock to bottom before buying it out. I sold my wife’s Civic via Rocket Auto. The offer for buyout comes from Rocket Auto but is executed by Vroom. Amusingly enough the rocket auto offer was $800 more than

Your replacement bus is gorgeous though.

I’m not sure why but that first image looks very sedan-like. Almost like they could just lower it and call it a day.

As far as electric crossovers goes that looks pretty nice. Better than the Y and on par with the Mach E I think. Nice enough to at least give it a test drive once which is more than I can say for any other Chrysler vehicle at least.

As someone who had a German engine total a car pre 100k miles because of a single poorly designed gear idk what that person is going on about. A $50 gear costing $5000 to replace in a car worth $5000 sounds exactly like the maintenance bullshit Teslas have.

It’s an income stream that adds value to the home! Rent them out for $1000+ a month. See it all the time in LA. Dystopian nightmare,  this city.

Alternatively, when does a RV become a mobile home so they can assess those sweet property taxes on it in addition to the amount you pay to store it most of the year?

Imagine being such a worry wort that you call the cops on someone just because they're doing something you're too timid to dare to try.

It’s the biggest premier that they’ve had to handle on the service so not really surprising that it didn’t work well at first.

The HHR crowd. This thing is basically an HHR (but VW van based) with slide doors.

It looked a lot better from the front. Cadillac ass vibes in the back.
