Ford and other manufacturers have a long history of making 1 or so base model per region so dealers can advertise but never sell any. Available doesn’t mean you’re going to get it any more than you’re going to get the $8k base Versa that always makes the billboards but doesn't seem to actually exist.

LOL they’re playing the Tesla game with the cheapo option that nobody buys. Doesn’t even have an image on the Ford site, just a “coming soon” picture, while the rest are ready to go. $10 says they pull a Tesla and make the high end models only for the first 2 years.

As someone who went from a Mercedes to a Kia, Kia interiors just aren’t as luxurious as a Mercedes, even while having more features. Genesis interiors on the other hand are better (imo) than the entry (CLA/C/E) Mercedes interior.

I mean the sad thing is at some point it doesn't matter - people who don't watch or give a crap about F1 know his name now and click articles to see his latest fuck up. Including me.  I don't know jack about F1 but I keep clicking articles about this shit driver lol

This is why I’m fond of Kia’s system. Buttons when I want them, touchscreen there for when I’m goofing off in a parking lot. My optima just feels so much cleaner to use than my cousin's accord.

More EVs in racing is good, even if they’re kind of boring to watch right now cause they spend as much time charging as running.

Yep I agree with all of this. BEV trucks have to either go expensive car cosplaying as truck (Rivian), unapologetically ugly to get as much range/utility without costing 100k+ (Tesla), or fleet use (Lordstown). LMC is aiming for the boring power company trucks that drive 100 miles a day reading gas meters. Anyone who

Yep. Bronco failed Baja 1000 2019 and nobody cared. Came back in 2020 and finished. Next years race will be the true test -  they will have a year to prep and refine and hopefully get a real driver.  This year's I think they were happy with just not having a mechanical failure. A lot of drivers ran out of gas this

They got the truck done a few days before the race, so they didn’t have as much time for testing or prerunning as the other teams. That said, they took a day for a moronic photo op instead. Their planning was atrocious, and at least some of their lack of range could be attributed to running an amateur driver instead

Remember this isn’t 3x vs the road truck. The Baja truck has big wheels and no aerodynamics. So they’re saying 3x (4x reality) conditions on a road, which suggests that the Baja truck could get 160 miles, but doesn’t suggest anything about the actual road truck range.

I thought it was fugly when I first saw a picture of it, but it's kind of growing on me.

True, but he has already been convicted for providing false information to the police before. I can't imagine they like their time being wasted more than once.

I know you won’t like this answer, but the front facing seats are for safety. They could redesign the seats to swivel, remake the car interior we are all familiar with. But ultimately it would be unproven and difficult to test for safety reasons, and consumers would probably reject it. GM is a large company. Someone

Tesla has Sexy going for it. GM has 100 years of poor quality and disappointments. I think they’ll be fine.

Shit, it looked boring at 130 on his slowdown.

My day one Switch has a slight bend in the middle. At first I thought it was a switch problem, but after noticing it got slightly better, I realized it was because the crappy insignia case I got that doesn’t fit the charger was bending it.

Yeah, I went to Europe in first class on a new 787. Damn, it was nice. Choice of wine with meals. Personal ~2ft flatscreen. Electronic recline flat seat. Slippers so I could taoe my shoes off. And Bose noise canceling headphones that had an external input for the cancelling that was way better than the standalone

I see you have Golden Road, but not Congregation. I highly recommend you give Congregation a try if you live near LA.

I want all these companies to succeed. They represent a possible new industry that the US can lead the global market in. However, I’m pessimistic about the next few years given Trump’s current cabinet picks. There may not be much market for electric cars if the US starts throwing out regulations and giving oil

Worth adding that in CA if you own a Mercedes with that model engine, it should be covered up until 125k miles on it. See here:
