If I was designing it I would use steam. It’s Nevada - solar heat the water into steam, inject it into the tube, then cool it with water spritz. Keep the cooling water cool by running pipes into the ground. Super easy to do, though it won’t produce a full vacuum.

There is a very big difference between all the activities you listed and threading the needle between two antennas barely over the ground while gliding. Even off-roading has designated trails.

Seriously it’s only a matter of time before pointless stunts like this cause loss of life and property damage, and eventually are made illegal. Wingsuits are awesome, I just wish the daredevils using them would stick to safer jumps.
