I think this just highlights a whole different set of criticisms for these hearings. That they consist of a team of interns writing questions for a Senator who then reads scripted talking points for the camera with the same intelligence as Anchorman.

To be fair, I think this is common practice when a CFO or chief accountant resigns within a month of earnings. I’ve seen other companies do this exact thing when their CFO gets a new job (or is fired) and it’s not a huge deal... except when it’s the canary in the coal mine for a slowly collapsing company.
The problem is these Boeing execs almost certainly fly on private planes. Make ‘em fly in their own jets and see how fast these issues get fixed.
