I’d get it if a boat hit the only bridge leading to a remote island like the Outer Banks, meaning residents couldn’t reach hospitals, groceries, or emergency services that can only be gotten in larger towns.

Maybe the bridge will explode? Haha, I have no idea and was thinking this exact same thing. Bridge being out and evacuating people seems, odd?
Wait, why are “people residing in the area” being “evacuated?” Guangzhou is a monstrously huge city. The article references the Pearl River delta, so I’m guessing the boat hit one of the two bridges. There are quite a few others further upriver as well. One bridge being out would not necessitate anyone to evacuate.
for purposes of driving on the road, I couldn’t agree more - but a lockout preventing moving the truck if the bed is up might be problematic on site when you need to move the truck with the bed up to fully dump the load. I dunno, maybe a governor on there to block going >10mph or something.
And, while it’s not really a “system” per se, I have to assume that the truck started handling very very differently if the bed suddenly sprang up into a raised position.
I’m curious how many systems had to fail or be ignored for that truck to be tooling down the highway with a huge metal sail reaching skyward.
Are you suggesting a bus can’t be used for transportation?
It all comes down to inflation in rap videos.
Thank you. Attitudes like the one displayed in the COTD have a real “All artistic tastes are equal, but mine is more equal than yours” vibe to them.
That comparison kinda obscured the point of the post for me. I would have said its more like a new G-wagon v. 911. Some people like Gs for whatever reason...some people dont...but liking something else more just comes down to personal opinion not a lack of education, for the most part...(some people could stand to…
I said it before and I’ll say it again. It never ceases to amaze me that people who say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and “it’s about emotion” and whatnot will invariably finish their monologue with some version of “tut, tut, my poor philistine, it’s okay that you just don’t understand this lovely art, it’s…
Your friend was working in the lab, late one night
when his eyes beheld an eerie sight
for his professor from his ass, began to shit
on the toilet’s lid, not within it
(He took a crap) He took a monster crap
(A monster crap) The turd was no mere scrap
(He took a crap) Allow me to recap:
(He took a crap) He took a monster…
Had to google Rothko paintings, and did a double-take, asking myself if this was legit. Large splotchy colored squares and rectangles is the whole schtick?
“probably”? Clearly, “definitely and without question” is the case.
maybe the local PD is of a mind that Police work is an *excellent* fit for this fellow?
Holy shit that’s nuts.
Somebody better lock this officer in solitary on the 4th of July.
truth.
As a 2019 RF-GTS owner (and I love it!), they’re not wrong per se, but I don’t think it’s so bad that ingress/egress would be the reason I wouldn’t buy it again. That said, I’d be really interested in the age breakdown of the people giving these responses.
This would be a really cool racing series for a few years! At some point, teams will gradually converge on the “optimal” design and things will get same-y.
