A married couple were killed by a driver under the influence a couple of months ago at a beach in SC. Granted the married couple were of age, and the driver of the vehicle was also of age but was under the influence. So yeah they are definitely unsafe driving on public roads.

My question is, why the hell are golf carts legal on public roads at all? They’re unable to keep up with traffic and wildly unsafe in an accident.  I can’t imagine what would happen if one got hit by an F150 or the like.

Never thought I’d live in a world where there would be sublets on cars, and yet Porsche seems to be on the cusp of creating it.

Here’s what you do - Seize the yacht as abandoned property, find a spot suitable for a man-made reef, tow it there, and sink it.

I wanted to say I thought the seller was either a lunatic or accidentally added a zero to the asking price. But then I looked at what these sell for.  Apparently there are people paying that kind of money for these.  So I guess everyone’s a lunatic, not just the seller.

How do you try and steal an internet-connected gizmo that carries god-only-knows how many cameras on it? That’s just weapons-grade stupidity. At first I was curious whether they tried to steal the robot or assault it, but then I remembered that it was in LA, not Philly.

Beaver-Bimmer all day long. It’s even worse in person. Even the stock photo model guy is kind of embarrassed.

Two cars, one commute, a $500/100 split in gas costs...

$250,000 for a slushbox 90s Camaro is weapons-grade crazy, regardless of who owned it.

An Italian version of a British car? How has it not been consumed in a fire caused by leaking oil?  Maybe the rust protects everything from bursting into flames?

One would think that the lawyers compensation, win or lose, would be worked out beforehand. I find it hard to believe it wasn’t.

But you must admit that some amount of that dependence is directly due to the petroleum industry’s deliberate untruthfulness about their impact on the environment, their suppression of cleaner/renewable energy, and their manipulation of our transportation systems to make themselves so utterly indispensable.

Maybe the fossil fuel industry could shut off the spigot for a month or two and CA could see how it is to function in the dark ages again. You can say what you want about fossil fuel usage and the impact it has along with moving to cleaner energy sources, but the truth is, without them we are going back to the

I’m going to blow your mind then. The GMC Savana/Chevy Express Full Size vans went into production in 1995.... short of a sheet metal refresh in 2002/2003, the vans have not changed. It has been the same generation for almost 30 years. Sure they got a new engine here or a new transmission there. But holistically, has,

Cheap 80s/90s GM cars will run like crap for longer than most cars will run at all.

Today, I learned that GMC makes something called the “Savana.

Why is nobody talking about the other shit these two went through?

Anybody else hope this was about some dudes who stole a car in Star Trek costumes?

I’m pretty sure I got one of those with a Happy Meal when I was six years old.
