I’ll say it before and I’ll say it again. There should be exactly one criterion for graduating high school and being deemed a legal adult. And that criterion is demonstrating an understanding of how interest rates work. People can Google everything else as needed.

Great question! I propose we find out! That way, we get more football to watch. And we get to find out what would happen if the “bubble” teams get their shot. Less of this “what if” nonsense. Let them play it out. Everyone wins!

I think you’re right. As a scientist, there’s a part of me that rails against setting up an experiment on someone’s orders that I know is designed incorrectly. I imagine it’s the same for journalists.

Wow that is terrible. File a noise complaint with the police. When that inevitably achieves nothing...

My point is, I don’t understand why they don’t quote him verbatim, non sequiturs, babblings, brain farts, and trail-offs included. The news should be about factual events, and his brain-mush babblings are things that really occur. Report them as such, even if it hurts your brain to do so. It's not insulting the

Good point about the truck size having a mandated connection to building height.

An additional consideration around emergency vehicles:

A lot of times, the ambulance depot is separate (as they are where I live in NC). Heck, some places are unlucky enough to have ambulance service that’s been privatized.

I sure hope so!

It’s not hard to transcribe what he says, its just that if you transcribe his words and then try to read them, it’s abundantly clear how incoherent he is. Any supposed “message” he’s trying to convey is lost in a sea of lies, misinformation, and non-sequiturs.

I like that we both tacitly agree that Billy McFarland is the "sympathy invite" to this meeting of the damned.

This. An AI-based approach to this could actually work.  You need a system to process a lot of simulated interactions and learn which ones produce the best outcomes.

Deep-throated” would be more accurate.

I’m realizing I genuinely don’t know where Jaguar fits in the “up- or down-market” spectrum any more. Probably because I don’t know what they even make any more.

Or a robot company, depending on what drugs Elmo’s coming off of. Or getting on, probably.

I’ve never gone into restricted areas, but the thought has absolutely crossed my mind (as a bad idea). But someone else with poorer impulse control or mental health issues could do it. And I imagine that’s what happened, unfortunately.

I have no idea what sort of point you’re trying to make, other than you’ve never pulled an overnighter in an airport by yourself.

You owe it to yourself to try it out. It’s way more fun than you think it’ll be.

What we need to do is get him to watch movies where the main character actually grows as a person, and gets rewarded for showing compassion and empathy to other people.
