How many minors are successful drift racers?  A few dozen, tops? Against how many kids in the US? That latter number is around 25 million.  A handful of people drift racing is hardly indicative of the general public.

I knew about Bricklin, but not Sterling.

That’s fair. I’m cautiously hopeful that people will see the party that wants to portray itself as the hero of the common man is actually the party actively dismantling their human rights, causing inflation with idiotic tariffs, lowering their wages, and only actually lowering taxes for the rich.

In a way, it’s kind of comforting to know that, while insufferable dipshit tiktok millionaires can ruin almost everything they survey, they won’t be able to ruin these beauties for us.

Counterpoint: Influencers can’t drive stick haha

I hope it stays with true enthusiasts who will enjoy it, and never ends up with some dope like David Lee to film a tacky Youtube video with it, and then lock it away in his fancy, private car-prison.

I love that the giant snake head is like the 14th insane detail I noticed about that car.  That is gloriously weird.

Oldest Ferrari? Gonna be worth all the money to Ferrari’s wealthier cultists.

Man, go visit Stockholm some day. It’s amazing. Clean, well-organized, well-maintained. But the thing that’ll really give a shock to your system is when you realize what’s missing. You won’t notice it immediately, but when you do, you’ll be wishing we had the same system back here.

I have family there, and have spent a considerable amount of time there. Their system is far, far better for virtually everyone. The only people it is less good for are... the very rich, i.e. the people who don’t need anything from anyone. The people paying that price are the people who can afford to. Wages are good

In Sweden, people over a certain age (around retirement age) can have any and all taxi rides covered by the government. You can get taxis via phone or an app just like an Uber or Lyft, or just regular-old waving on the street. It’s a great solution for older people who probably shouldn’t be driving, but can’t/don’t

The fact that that Camaro was “racing” a Miata with a tiny fraction of the power really highlights how out of their depth the Camaro driver was.

A company’s commitment to safety must be subject to... rather a lot of scrutiny when their employees resort to urinating in bottles, buckling their seat belts behind their backs, and driving down the sidewalk to meet their “quotas” for the day.

There’s a part of me that agrees, but I’m pretty sure it’s the part of me that, more and more, tends to want to yell at clouds. $100,000 was bonkers money when I was a kid.

Oh, his learners permit should have been revoked after the first offense. To be honest, I wasn’t thinking about his prior when I was writing. But I do stand by trying to rehab. That rehab effort should have begun (and likely still be ongoing) at the time of his second offense.

He can’t be so stupid as to not realize all of his “software” and “AI” only goes into his “cars,” right?

That is a weird choice of song for that imagery. Deeply weird.

Okay, don't give Stupid a car until they prove they can restrain themselves.

I think you are correct. So if it had SOTN on it, I'd be EXTRA curious haha
