The average person is of average intellect.

“In what way, specifically, does Costco suck?”

I’m the guy who had the Outback! I submitted my info almost a year ago so you can all hear about how this ended!

Tesla Model Y

I own a Model Y, it’s definitely better than you’re giving it credit for.

there are over 130,000 public chargers across the entire country

Agreed. I never believed in a ‘daily driver’ before, I only ever wanted to drive the most inconvenient, suffer-for-the-fun vehicles I could manage. But the Model 3 Performance changed my mind. It’s a glorious mix of pleasant driving and organ-crushing acceleration. It’s dirt cheap to run, invisibly anonymous, and no

Got it pretty locked down with a Tesla Model 3 dual-motor. Maybe would be nice to have the Performance trim. Aside from being bonkers quick when you step on the pedal, it’s one of the most ‘fuel efficient’ cars money can buy, a great view all the way around including up, fits as many people as I’d ever need in the car

I’m on my second model Y rental right now, and the ride really is abysmal, as are the many squeaks and rattles throughout the cabin as it bangs and crashes over every small road imperfection. It really would be a dealbreaker for long term ownership.

The thing I hate about my Tesla Model 3 is the way the misinformed public acts around it. If I had a quarter for every time someone approached me to ask “how many hours does it takes to charge?, or that “all electricity is provided by coal which is worse for the environment than gasoline”, or “do you sleep while

  • EVs are more eco-friendly. Even if your electricity is generated 100% by coal/natural gas it’s still better for the environment due to increased efficiency with a larger turbine generating the energy vs a tiny one in an ICE. on top of that because electricity is agnostic you can charge it anywhere without needing to

Dude just fucking stop

Seriously?

Nope, the Bolt is the GM BEV2 skateboard platform, which shares no parts with the Gamma 2 platform used by the Sonic/Trax/Encore. It’s a common misconception, since the Bolt development started with the Gamma but evolved into its’ own unique platform.

And if you want to talk national average prices, let’s do that -

Ave

This is an anti EV thing that AEG’s been pushing for years, even Jalopnik’s sister site has an article debunking this https://cleantechnica.com/2021/10/26/about-that-scary-evs-cost-more-to-fuel-study-not/.

Uh, what? This smells like bullshit to me.

My Chevy Bolt uses about 29Kwh to drive 100 miles.
I pay .25 per Kw to charge at home. That’s $7.25 for 100 miles.

My gas car gets about 22 mpg combined, for 100 miles that’s 4.5 gallons @ $4/gal = $18 in regular gas for 100 miles.

Yes.

Now playing

I’m all about some electric Dajiban action.

Pope Palpatine, you mean?

I’d just like to say that if you live in a climate that gets snow, and you have no snow/ice removal tool in the car you are a fucking moron.
