You know that you CAN’T “just” read the regular book, right? Sure, you can avoid the big storyline but you can’t avoid it hijacking your book for at least two issues. Peter David’s X-Factor was a constant victim of having to stop his story and jump into the fray, then run back home to pick things up again.

Actually, heroes vs heroes has been the main cross-over thing for them since Avengers: Disassembled. There’s been a few of exceptions: Annihilation, Dark Reign (kinda) and Infinity. But all the rest since then have been some form of hero vs hero:

It sounds like you’ve got me all figured out. I appreciate the insight and wish you well.

Oh Christ, I fucking hate Mojo.

Marvel got so out of hand with their big event comics that I just gave up reading Marvel altogether. Let me guess, Secret Empire is going to be about more heroes fighting other heroes because ever since Civil War (the first one), that is pretty much all Marvel big events are anymore.

I’m done. It’s at the point at which books un-fucked by crossovers are a rarity.

Please, when was the last time Hollywood even CAST a female dragon? There’s a scaly ceiling and you know it.

Here’s why: it’s all fantasy, fake, and not real.

Umm because it’s actually kind of difficult to topple someone with greater height/reach/mass/muscle than yourself? If they punch a guy in the chest they’re aiming a little above his center of gravity and he might get knocked back, but he’s probably not going to fall over.

We’ve had shitty governments before. Enough of the doom and gloom, start thinking about what you want and how to help achieve it. Start now, because elections are in less than two years.

Congress doesn’t have a wifi enabled TV or computer screen just sitting there. Also, twitter isn’t chromecast enabled on iphones.

Umm, these fuckers (no argument there) have been around forever, and well out of the woodwork, or hadn’t you noticed. They were not hidden before under Obama or Clinton or Bush, so are they their faults?

You just reminded me of a gal who posted that nonsense meme/story about the husband who was drifting away from his wife & wants a divorce but she asks him to carry her over the threshold every day and then he realizes that he still loves her and then she dies because she of course has cancer.

That same “friend” also vague-posts about needing trust in a relationship and when you ask them about it, they “don’t wanna talk about it”. Then the next week their boyfriend/husband is their KING and they are SO BLESSED.

In other words, Kim Kardashian is that annoying “friend” from high school who changes their relationship status to “it’s complicated” for a day in hopes of getting a lot of attention, then they change it back the next day. And this happens every few weeks or months.

Counterpoint: His portrayal of Fisk is the best thing any of the Marvel Netflix shows have done. And I like many things about those shows. But the way D’Onofrio’s Fisk constantly struggled to balance his calculating intellect with his repressed rage was fascinating to watch.

Yeah I really liked his performance but was I the only one that really didn’t care about “Wilson Fisk: Adventures in Dating”? I enjoyed watching him slowly take over a prison over the course of a single episode more than his romance with whatshername. Although I guess it did work as good foil for Matt’s life in season

Get the fuck out. He was great as Fisk.

The stakes were the unity of the Avengers as a workable team before Infinity War.
