Wow, did you miss the point by a mile.

Making it into a gendered issue has done nothing but given women a tool to shut down anyone they disagree with.

You’re trying to attach too much logic to it all. It’s all just arbitrary and vague, and the Bechdel test is not practical in any way beyond the category of “starting a conversation.”

Hearing about the state of cards in the US is always odd, as it’s one area where they seems to be perpetually 5-10 years behind.

Not to mention that 90 people “reaching out” means nothing.

Yeah! The only reason women comprise 99% of early childhood education and men comprise 94% of skilled trades is purely societal influence. I’m tired of this nonsense that suggests this discrepancy is anything but sexism.

The half that’s men doesn’t do this to the other half that’s women. Every woman isn’t a victim of this any more than half the men are responsible.

Any given person will always experience things differently, and their perception tainted with their own bias. Often what gets painted as sexism tends to just be how the two gender groups communicate and forcing things into one perspective.

It applies to the entire population, it’s called “being condescending.”

The “porsh” vs “porsha” argument is always flawed, because in the West no one says “Folks-vagon” instead of Volkswagon. Insisting on “Porsha” while saying Volks-wagon is just being pretentious, if not at least inconsistent.

Yeah from what I can find there is apparently no story behind the name. It began in Edmonton of all places in the 70s by a Greek immigrant, and was originally named Boston Pizza and Spaghetti House.

It’s not even necessarily about being self-conscious. I’m not balding, but just like hats. It IS something that makes me feel more comfortable, but wouldn’t everyone have that with however they choose to dress leaving the house?

If no one really cared, then no one would care about a hat either, or assume that anyone wearing a hat is covering something up. A lot of people wear hats regardless of hair status.

That would definitively be theft.

Not “Boston-style pizza”, it’s just Boston Pizza. It’s a Canadian restaurant chain, in the same type of mold of a Pizza Hut family dine-in restaurant.

This is my issue. I had a Nexus 5X, while a friend had an LG G5, which I now also have.

It’s a presumption either way, but just removing yourself from a situation doesn’t repair any damage, simply stops it from accumulating.

Bullshit is bullshit, regardless which side it supports. There’s fake news across the spectrum and you’re implying Snopes is actually entirely correct on everything and any such criticism is only “conservative attacks.”

Who knows, but to be fair we can’t even say, from this whole article they never once actually listed the joke.

Translation: “It’s ok when I do it.”
