I'm ok with this - my house was broken into 2 years ago and all of my consoles, games, and movies were stolen. I tried networking with the various GameStops and other stores in my area, but most weren't even willing to take down the serial numbers of my stolen consoles.

Honestly, lack of backwards compatibility on consoles has pushed me to PC. It simply isn't an issue on that platform and it gives me no reason to pick up another Sony console and keep my PSX - PS3 games in the closet, only to do it all over again in 5-7 years for the PS5.

I agree with you, but doesn't it also seem as though many of those pre-order incentives wind up bundled into GOTY/complete editions eventually? Whenever a game goes this route I treat it as a signal to hold off on buying.

I thought it was good, but it's still early. My wife was ecstatic about it and we spent the rest of the weekend watching the old series.

If the bottom line is that horns weren't in the original use of the property (and they weren't), then yes. It meets that definition.

I'd really like to see him again too, but I'm not so certain about the horns. We did get to see Sten's companions in his nightmare at the Circle Tower and all were hornless, so it seems more like a retcon than that his whole band was an exception to the rule.

I was referring to the redesign they did for the race in DA2, which this appears to be consistent with (e.g. horns, skin color, etc.) - Sten was quite large in DA:O, but otherwise human in appearance.

I'm afraid I still don't like the Qunari redesign.

Dungeons and Dragons-style with DM controls on the gamepad!

Hm, and here I always preferred KOTOR 2 to 1. I loved the first, but I remember being very disappointed by the ending and the sequel added a great deal to the mechanics of the base game to make it more enjoyable for me. I really liked that I didn't have to waste levels on non-Jedi classes early in the game and that

I'll admit that one of my runs with the MaleShep was "Jack," but my main save was a badass woman named Strawberry Shephard.

Predictably disappointing - it simply is not surprising. Nintendo is an international organization and, while they may not have considered to include gay marriage in the course of development, they have to remain competitive in other countries less tolerant on the issue than ours.

I don't know, maybe I'm just too jaded after DA2. It felt like that game hijacked everything that had been established in DA 1 and reshaped the franchise. So far, this looks like it is no different in that respect.

They are incorrect in the way I have been describing this entire time and in the way that you were wrong to suggest that is ok for art from a specific Japanese time period to be referred to as "Asian art." If you've missed the point, I'd only be repeating myself here.

You're the one who brought art historians into the equation initially, I was simply pointing out that they are dead wrong. It isn't my job to make their system better, but thanks for the offer.

Yes, seriously. I am saying that not all peoples, cultures, and nations like being lumped into the same category. I'm not saying the terminology isn't clear, but it is poor terminology. There's a difference, friend.

First of all, you're linking to a Wikipedia article that is part of an Islamic series. That isn't exactly unbiased.

I think using the term Arabic or Persian to describe it would have been a bit more accurate. Islam obviously had an influence, as described in the article, but not all art from that region can (or should) be called Islamic. For example, many of the works of classical European masters had religious subjects (because

Seeing some of these designs immediately made me think of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's comments on Arabic influence on math and science during the Islamic Golden Age and how it ultimately came to an end.

I'm fine with change in general - it makes branding sense for Sony, but this looks like a really bad choice from a usability perspective. After all, the only difference between a PS4 and PS3 box will be a single digit in the upper-left corner of the box - which will only mean something if you already know what to look
