I really wanted a veil with alencon lace on the edge, but those were all like $300. I bought a cheap, raw-edge veil on Etsy for $25 and bought some lace for another $30ish. It took me about 45 minutes to hand-sew the lace on the hem of the veil, and it looked like a million bucks. I even sewed little seed pearls in

I LOVE YOUR BOUQUET. And your veil. And everything.

GUYS! I am wearing a veil at my wedding, but this is just an excuse to say that I am wearing it TOMORROW! BECAUSE I AM GETTING MARRIED TOMORROW! WOAH!

Sorry if this posted twice. I want to join in on veil brag! It ended up being super windy only for the ceremony and I had a moment where I almost ditched the veil completely because it was catching on desert brush but ohhh baby am I happy I kept it. It made for some really great drama. My MOH had to hold the end to

Since we are veil-bragging... here is my veil, having been picked up by the wind as we descended from the top deck of the boat on which we were married to the reception below. One of my all-time fave pictures from our wedding!

$2000 to be exact. In the delirious thirtieth hour of hand sewing lace I looked it up.

Frankly, the mosquito shield sounds super-practical!

there is no doubt that if i worked in a place like that i would be consistently festooned and acting like a princess.

I had a mantilla style veil and despite not caring originally it was so special to me.

I wore a single layer cathedral length veil with a blusher that came down to my waist—and I did wear it over my face walking down the aisle. It was the most glamorous thing I’ve ever worn in my entire life. Sigh...

I had my veil picked out before I ever met my husband. This is because it belonged to a good friend of mine, and when I saw it on her I died and insisted that if ever I became a bride, I must be allowed to borrow it. With infinite generosity, she agreed.

So it sounds like you could run an excellent side hustle of wedding veils on Etsy.

I feel like this is a vote for a trend in casual veils ... I’m for it. That and capes. MORE CAPES!

Beautiful! I almost went for the juliette cap style but decided on classic drop veil instead:

My veil was super-cute. My mom sewed it onto a headband thing which was what I used to push my hair off of my face. That was the extent of hairdo for me, and it worked well.

Omg veiling.

Is this where we veil boast? Because I made this for my SIL and I am proud as hell.

I am a decently talented seamstress and I have made the veil for every wedding that I have been to in the last five years plus a handful that I was not on the guest list for.

I have to show mine off because it was my favorite part
