Sooooo, Lawnmower Man 2?

I absolutely love Walking Dead and have ever since episode 1; and I'm not into zombie shows/movies, nor have I read the comics. However, this season has been absolutely lackluster for me. Terrible acting from some of the new characters (Eugene in particular), and a relatively boring series of shows back to back. Maybe

I don't think the movie itself was any worse than any of the non Abrams ST movies immediately preceding Abrams' interpretation (which IMO were bore fests), but all the "he's not Kahn" BS was completely unnecessary. Honestly I kinda wish JJ didn't bother trying to appease fans at all - they're bent on not being happy

Wait. There is a movie out called Donkey Punch? And I missed this in IMAX?

I think if you're able to learn your software a bit better, you should be able to create music with it, regardless of how many great or shitty plug-ins you have. I remember one of my favorite producers back in the early 2000's created some of his first releases (which were regarded by many as brilliant pieces of work)

I agree in the respect that not having any equipment to practice one can make learning slightly difficult, but learning about the fundamentals of beat-matching or phrasing aren't dependent on having good stuff or not. Were you trying to match beats on CD players without a pitch control or something?

There definitely is a bit of a learning curve, but like with anything in life, say computer programming, or digital art, etc - you have to start somewhere. There are many online tutorials on how to work with synths like the ones mentioned in this article. If you really want to learn, I say you start with a cheap

Aronofsky.
That is all.

Yet, it was still a great movie, whether or not it stayed true to the book.

Ohhhh, right! I forgot about Spidey 2099.

Yeah, well - that was the 80's, and yeah you're right, some of those cartoons were pretty bad, too. And I didn't realize these were parodies.

wow, that was horrible. why is this idiotic character getting resurrected?

With you on this in the respect that most people do think she's latina as opposed to being someone of mixed ethnicity. Honestly, I had to look it up myself. She's half mexican (father), quarter danish & quarter french (mother).

Was this back when soda-pops were a nickel?
Haha... I jest, but you're right. You don't see comics sold in as many places anymore, and they're what $5 a pop these days? Ridiculous.

Alba is half white though, right? I don't think she's fully latina. Not that it really matters ...

You might be confused on this. There is a half-black half latino spidey, Miles Morales, but not a black one and a latino one. I believe there's an Indian one, too - or maybe that was just a one-off. Ironically though, that was produce by a "Gotham Entertainment Group".

I'm with you on all of this. I was a bit taken aback by the Rhino portrayal as well, but from what I've read, I believe they're basing it (and this version of Spidey in general) on the Ultimates Universe. I stopped ready Spiderman a little after the 300's, so I'm not at all familiar with the Ultimate comics, but yeah

You are my new io9 hero, in oh, so, sooooo many ways!

It's a little too "dub-steppy" for me, but it is pretty decent sound design, I'll give them that. I just wish they could turn the cheese factor down a bit, but it seems to be in line with a Michael Bay film.

Indeed. Red Lobster is five star dining for some yelpers!
