You do know the auto in these things is incredible, right?
You do know the auto in these things is incredible, right?
I had one (‘98 SH) probably six-ish years ago... it was certainly a nice commuter but after an M3 like yours you wouldn’t be terribly impressed. The vtec you remember kicking so hard back when you were younger.... well, it didn’t. The sound was there and a little more power came in, but it was mostly just noise.
I think we will say the same thing in ten years about GM (or all domestics) in the early 2010's, and then again in another ten years about the early 2020's cars. GM’s way of life has and always will be “Okay, we were bad before but now we’re WORLD CLASS”. Since the 70's pretty much everything they’ve made has been…
I recently stumbled onto this and it changed my life:
CPO is hard to argue with on pretty much any car. Full factory backed warranty, nice condition cars, all at steep discounts. Your local cadillac dealer is stupid, which isn’t entirely surprising. Lots of luxury car dealerships have that attitude... our local BMW dealer, for example, still operates in the pre-internet…
Oh for sure. At least he didn’t put a stop to that and go back to making FWD land yachts.
Yeah, kind of hard to argue between those two particular cars, but I do think they are typically less expensive than comparable germans. That is way, way too much money for an ATS, especially considering the V starts only a few thousand above it. To get a 440i X drive it would get into the $60k+ range rather quickly,…
All very good points. I quite like the styling and the performance versions are all I care about, which is why I’m not entirely full of rage at him.... despite the fact that you are correct, the brand is probably in a worse place now.
They’re still less than the competition, at least from cars that I think of like the V series. Do you have examples? I think you need to make sure it’s 100% apples to apples with features as well.
Also very true. I suppose we wont ever really know what he accomplished, but my main point was that Cadillac has released some great cars during his tenure.
I’m glad he’s gone because he made some asinine statements about why the brand was failing, taking little to no accountability.... however he should have some credit for giving us cars like the ATS-V and the upcoming XTS Vsport, etc. Cadillac isn’t thriving, but I still really like their products, except the whole Cue…
This photoshop is amazing.
Just going to throw this out there - you can get really good deals on financing still for certified preowned cars. The BMW 328i can EASILY be had for less than your budget, you may even be able to get into a 335i for that price. 100k mile warranty, slightly reduced depreciation than a new car, better driving dynamics,…
To anyone considering buying one of these, order it at least one size larger than you normally would. I couldn’t even wear it.
Thanks for the info!
Yep.
Crazy! I guess if they base the rates on miles traveled it would make perfect sense.
That’s pretty cool! So are you having to do any of the legwork if the provider changes, or does this broker organize this with the mortgage holder?
I don’t understand this, I’m in my early 30's living in Nevada and the wife and I pay a combined $1.3k for a 2011 RDX and a 2014 328i with Progressive. Full coverage, low deductible, $1m cap... Weird.
The electric car argument is a lot more complex than that, the EV1 documentary details why.
