It’s a little hard to feel for people that have money in certain situations”

Who the fuck starred this comment? Life isn’t a Michael Bay movie.

You can absorb cost increases by reducing compensation at the top, but yes,... Some things are going to cost more. Maybe we should learn to live with less crap.

Getting tired of the “but the holiday season” nonsense. Fuck the retail suckfest that is Christmas. Do what my family did years ago once all the kids were grown. Nobody buys anything for anybody. We all HAVE everything already. I haven’t bought a Christmas present in 25 years. We get together for food and good cheer,

The intolerable working conditions for truckers, which were first engineered by large corporations years ago, in order to make automation of the job by robot drivers seem reasonable, has suddenly precipitated a mass exodus of workers from the field. This has occurred before the international corporate world order was

I’m perfectly fine with people like Musk or Bezos coming up with useful things such as Amazon or Tesla, we just need to tax them accordingly. I don’t want to “Eat the Rich” or whatever crusade thing, I just want them to pay fair taxes.

Sure, and people invested a ton of money into that Elizabeth Holmes company selling blood testing kits. It’s easy to invest money. It’s hard to actually manufacture 100,000 of something, especially something as complex as a 2.5 ton vehicle. It’s hard to warranty all your units. It’s hard to avoid PR pitfalls.

The Ford still seems like the value play here, and I trust the institutional knowledge of Ford building trucks. It’s hard for me to want to be the first to purchase a new manufacturer, because I’d be worried about them folding.

I don’t worship people because they are rich, but I do admire how they got to that position and don’t mind living through them with purchases like this. I’m very secure in myself and what I have achieved, and I am also well aware that the vast majority of rich people worked for it - and weren’t just “lucky.”

I have absolutely no love for 1%ers and I’m honestly pretty sick of hearing about cars that can’t even be considered dream cars for regular people as they’re completely divorced from reality (see the recent Porsche GT3 vs GT3 Cup story on this site - could not care less).

But a Singer isn’t something they’re stuffing

You can be a tasteless rapper who spends $2M on a Bugatti, or you can be someone who understands engineering and the art of fine craftsmanship... and get a Singer.

I too believe that it’s okay to have a good screw out in the open. Let everyone see!

Jason, there’s no need to go nuts over this. I know we’d all be screwed without the various types of fasteners in our cars, but this was hardly a riveting post. (Although, I will say that photo of the Spyker shows they really know how to nail an interior.) I realize you’re probably just trying to hit your quota so you

When the 17 year old third owners start getting their hands on the Hellcats, I think that’s going to be the revelation for most people that 700 hp might be just a tad much. I can already hear the crying and see the lines at the local funeral parlor.

Holy shit that’s good.

Playing with Porsche’s configurator is always fun: 16K if you want the interior in a color other than black. Almost makes me feel bad for the rich people buying these things. Almost.

Was hoping they would have deleted the hood vents too, probably the least good-looking part of the GT3.

Flipping through this images with near total ambivalence, I tried to place when it was that I lost my passion for these kinds of supercars. I loved them as a kid, obviously. But even as late as high school and undergrad I was always really interested in taking a closer look, learning the specs, and appreciating them

“This Wind-Powered Car Goes Fast Enough To Break Physics”

No, nothing has been broken here. I feel dumber for having read this article.

The only thing worse than buying a Nissan is ending up with 2 of them.
