I felt like a buzzkill making that comment on my group text with my girlfriends.

Thank you so much. I’m terribly sorry for your pain as well-it’s a club I never want anyone to join. *internet hug*

I’ve heard amazing things-I have crazy heavy periods to the point where I can’t leave the house for days for fear of bleeding on EVERYTHING (maybe less wonky penis research and more “please god let me not ruin this office chair” research, hmmm?) , so I’m STOKED at the idea of not dealing with it after 25 years of hell

I had a miscarriage in my second trimester that is partially attributed to fibroids. They fucking took OFF with the additional hormones. It was so awful and painful and emotionally scarring that we’ve finally just become the human equivalent of this emoji 🤷🏻‍♀️ and I get an IUD installed tomorrow.

Gucci is supposedly expanding into the plus size business. I cannot wait to see what’s available, and then to justify the purchase to my husband as part of the “pink tax” that women have to pay. 😂

So, is the lust for power itself the issue, or is it the unethical actions taken in pursuit of power?

My trainer is a sadist and I’m a masochist, apparently. But my brain is clearer and sharper and I’m bounding up the stairs like I did in my twenties so 🤷🏻‍♀️ Still chubby-ish, but that’s probably the tequila and bread, and I’m not giving those up.

I had a flash back to Saturday (which involves burpees) and now I have to sit down and have a drink. (I was already sitting, I was just proud that I did 36 burpees in a 15 minute rotation with some other crap and wanted to brag. 😂)

My Saturday workout-burpees with a push up included. I’m really just here to brag about that. 😂

I chatted with HR today about an issue I’m having, and it was absolutely from a position of “how does this impact the company.” HR is there to prevent lawsuits and enforce policies. These days, they really don’t do much of the traditional HR items-those are all automated or managed through self-service.

So, no, but I wear pretty much one brand (Nine West) because they fit my feet EXACTLY. Always. I’ve tried more expensive shoes, better shoes, other shoes... and I always return to Nine West. 🤷🏻‍♀️

NBC has a parent company. They’ve struggled with managing this kind of thing. There’s also often still a good ol’ boy culture.

There’s no such thing as too tall for heels.

MJ, for a second I thought you were volunteering and I almost vomited in my laptop. Then I realized your point, and felt slightly better (for you) and like this is a potential reality.

I scrolled up, piece by piece, as you described them. It made it so much better than the pic alone.

So-I met my husband when my career was starting to rise and his had already taken off. The fact that he was truly an adult-owned a beautiful home, drove a luxury car- was extremely attractive-on top of the fact that he was adorable. I wouldn’t have married him for those reasons alone, but I was at a point in my life

I made a Samoa Cake. I was very popular with my culdesac. That said, Trefoils for the win. Now I want to make shortbread cookies.

Huh. Learned something new today.

There’s more to your comment though. Why are sugar daddies mostly men? Because they have benefitted from a system of misogyny and devaluation of women. So, without misogyny, the sugar daddy/mama world looks much more balanced, and becomes much less of an issue. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I couldn’t do it personally, because I have other stuff on my list, but if someone else wants to, that’s their deal.
